Please join Modern Mata Ortiz, DeSilva Imports and Mata Ortiz to You for an action packed weekend of Mata Ortiz pottery! We will be exhibiting a large selection of handcrafted and signed Mata Ortiz pottery from the best artists in the village. Plus, beautiful, one of a kind pieces of Taxco Silver Shard Jewelry. Three master potters will be demonstrating handbuilding and painting techniques throughout both days. And firing demonstrations with a telling of the Mata Ortiz story at 11 am and 2 pm both Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting). Also, a screening of Scott Petersen's feature length documentery The Renaissance of Mata Ortiz followed by a Q & A by Scott himself! At Mata Ortiz photographer Bobby Furst's artist studio in Joshua Tree, CA at 7:30 pm on Saturday, March 3rd.

We will have a large selection of pottery available from well known master potters and new up & coming potters. Something for all levels of collectors! Master potters Jerardo Tena and Diego Valles will be joining us from the village, giving painting and hand building demonstrations throughout the day.
