Octavio "Tavo" Silveira and his wife Mirna Hernandez create unusual, distinctive designs that marry the Barrio Provenir style with the Quezada style.  Tavo has won several awards at the annual Concurso de la Ceramica de Mata Ortiz.  He took the Grand prize in 2005 and in 2009, First prize for the Colored Olla category.  He is also a featured artist in The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz.
